Abstract
To address the drawback of large torque ripple of switched reluctance motor (SRM), a new torque-ripple suppression strategy combining model predictive control (MPC) and torque distribution function (TSF) is proposed in this paper. The study subject of this paper is a new double stator switched reluctance motor (DSSRM) with five working modes. For the characteristics of the two stator operation of DSSRM, this paper refines the control region of MPC to improve the accuracy of control. And for the characteristics of frequent phase change of DSSRM, this paper proposes to optimize the phase change process by using PI compensator. Finally, the simulation verifies that the new control strategy has a good torque-ripple suppression effect for all the five working modes of DSSRM.
